Used books, a deep metaphysical selection, tarot readings on Saturdays, and a rescue dog named Peaches who'll greet you at the door. Reopened after the Almeda Fire.
The Hermeticus Bookshop reopened in Ashland's Railroad District in November 2021 after the original Talent location was lost in the Almeda Fire. It's a general used bookstore with bestsellers, classic literature, children's books, and a notably deep metaphysical section. Browse, read a while, play a game of chess, or just talk. The owners are usually here. Peaches — their rescue dog — is here too.
Browse. Read a while. Talk. Pet the dog.
General fiction, classics, children's, kept reasonably priced.
One of the best in the Rogue Valley.
Bring books in. We'll talk.
Saturdays from noon to 3pm. By donation.
There's a board. Pull up a chair.
She does most of the greeting.
"Good vibes, good books, good conversation. Highly recommend."
"The owners are always here, ready to chat. Peaches is the best part of the visit."
"A bookshop forged by fire and love. After the Almeda Fire took the Talent location, they rebuilt this one. Worth every visit."
